Mr. Donnelly began training in January 2008 with Robert Trotta Sensei in Souderton, PA. He placed in Kata in a tournament in Bethlehem, PA in March of that year. After taking some time off to pursue other athletic endeavors, such as floor hockey, touch football, and weightlifting, he returned to karate with Trotta Sensei in November 2012 in Hatfield, PA. He won several first and second place awards in local tournaments in the next year. He has trained faithfully and diligently since then and was awarded 1st Dan (black belt) in September 2017. He assisted Trotta Sensei with the opening and operation of the Kutztown dojo from March 2017 to the present, teaching there every week as well at as our Sellersville dojo. Mr. Donnelly has a strong background in mentoring and teaching new and upcoming students. His teaching style emphasizes high-energy classes with full participation.
